JOCKEY 150 COMPETITION
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. PROMOTER
NINIAN & LESTER (PTY) LTD, 915 UMGENI ROAD, DURBAN, 4001 - 031 303 1422.
2. COMPETITION PERIOD
The competition opens on 1 September 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 31 October 2026. No late entries will be accepted.
3. ELIGIBILITY
• Competition open to natural persons aged 18 years or older.
• Entrants must be permanent residents of the Republic of South Africa.
• Employees of the Promoter, its agencies, suppliers, distributors, retailers involved in administering the competition and their immediate families may not enter.
• Entrants must possess a valid identity document or passport.
• Winners may be required to provide proof of identity and residency.
4. HOW TO ENTER
• Purchase any qualifying Jockey product.
• Follow the advertised WhatsApp entry steps:
1. Scan promotional QR code.
2. Upload till slip for in-store purchase and invoice for online purchase.
3. Enter your details (name, surname, email and region).
4. Submit your entry.
5. Receive confirmation on WhatsApp.
• Submit all required information before the closing date.
• Retain original proof of purchase, which must be produced if requested.
• Multiple entries permitted - each qualifying purchase equals one entry.
5. PRIZE
• Winners will win a share of R150,000 in cash.
• 10 winners.
• Prize value per winner will be R15,000.
• Prizes are not transferable.
• Prizes may not be exchanged for alternative prizes.
6. WINNER SELECTION
• Winners will be selected by random draw. Channel Mobile will be using a randomizer tool to draw the winners.
• Winners will be drawn no later than 15 November 2026 after the competition ends.
• Draw will be independently audited or supervised by Channel Mobile.
• The Promoter's decision is final.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION
• Winners will be contacted using the details supplied during entry.
• Winners will be contacted by no later than 30 November 2026.
• If a winner cannot be contacted after 3 attempts, an alternate winner may be selected.
8. PRIZE VERIFICATION
Before receiving a prize, winners may be required to provide:
• Valid South African ID document.
• Proof of purchase.
• Proof of residence.
• Bank confirmation letter (with stamp).
• Any additional documentation reasonably required by the Promoter.
If the winner fails to complete the above verification process, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
9. PRIZE PAYMENT
• Payment will be processed via EFT.
• Prize will be paid within 7 days of the winner being verified.
10. PERSONAL INFORMATION
By entering this Competition, entrants acknowledge that the Promoter will collect and process certain personal information for the purposes of administering the Competition and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

10.1 INFORMATION COLLECTED
The Promoter may collect the following personal information from entrants:
• Full name and surname.
• Mobile telephone number.
• Email address (where applicable).
• Region.
• Gender.
• Date of birth or confirmation that the entrant is over 18 years of age.
• Identity number, South African identity number (only where required for winner verification).
• Proof of purchase.
• Banking details (for verified winners only, where required to facilitate prize payment).
• Any correspondence relating to the Competition.
10.2 PURPOSE OF COLLECTION
Personal information is collected for the following purposes:
• To administer and manage the Competition.
• To validate entries and confirm eligibility.
• To verify winners.
• To contact winners and arrange prize fulfilment.
• To comply with legal, regulatory and auditing requirements.
• To investigate suspected fraud or abuse of the Competition.
• Where the entrant has expressly opted in, to send future marketing communications relating to the Promoter's products and services.
Participation in the Competition is not conditional upon consenting to receive marketing communications.
10.3 HOW PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL BE PROCESSED
Personal information will be processed lawfully, fairly and transparently and only for the purposes described in these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter will implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
10.4 RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
• administer the Competition;
• verify entries and winners;
• resolve disputes or claims;
• comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations; and
• maintain records required by applicable law.
Once no longer required, personal information will be securely deleted, anonymised or destroyed in accordance with the Promoter's record retention policies unless advised otherwise.
10.5 SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Promoter may share personal information with carefully selected third parties where necessary to administer the Competition, including:
• Competition administrators.
• Marketing and promotional agencies.
• Payment service providers and financial institutions.
• Auditors.
• Professional advisers.
• Regulatory authorities where required by law.
Such third parties will only process personal information on the Promoter's instructions and will be required to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
10.6 ENTRANTS' RIGHTS
Subject to applicable law, entrants may have the right to:

Please note that requesting deletion of personal information before the Competition has concluded may result in the entrant being unable to continue participating in the Competition.
11. MARKETING CONSENT
Participation in the Competition is not conditional upon consenting to receive marketing communications from the Promoter.
Entrants will be given the opportunity to separately opt in to receive promotional communications, offers, product updates, competitions and other marketing material from the Promoter. Such consent is entirely voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time.
Where an entrant elects to receive marketing communications, the Promoter may contact the entrant via email, SMS, WhatsApp or other communication channels using the contact details provided, in accordance with applicable data protection and electronic communications legislation.
Entrants who do not opt in to receive marketing communications will only be contacted for purposes directly related to the administration of the Competition, including entry verification, winner notification and prize fulfilment.
An entrant may withdraw their marketing consent at any time by:
• Clicking the "unsubscribe" link included in marketing emails (where applicable).
• Following the opt-out instructions contained in SMS or WhatsApp communications.
• Contacting the Promoter using the contact details provided in the Privacy Policy.
Withdrawal of marketing consent will not affect the entrant's participation in the Competition or their eligibility to win a prize, provided they continue to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
12. FRAUD & DISQUALIFICATION
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:
• Provides false information.
• Tampers with the entry process.
• Uses fraudulent proof of purchase.
• Attempts to manipulate the competition.
• Breaches these Terms & Conditions.
13. TECHNICAL ISSUES
The Promoter is not responsible for:
• Network failures.
• WhatsApp outages.
• Delayed transmissions.
• Lost or incomplete entries.
• System errors beyond its reasonable control.
14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Limit the Promoter's liability to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its directors, employees, agents and appointed service providers (including Channel Mobile) will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense, whether direct or indirect, arising from or in connection with a person's entry into or participation in this Competition, including but not limited to:
• network, WhatsApp platform, or system failures, outages or errors;
• lost, delayed, incomplete or misdirected entries;
• any act or omission of a third-party service provider engaged to administer any part of the Competition; or
• a winner's failure to claim or verify their prize within the timeframes set out in these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in this clause limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by the Promoter's negligence, liability arising under Section 61 of the Consumer Protection Act, or liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.
15. PUBLICITY
Winners may be requested to participate in publicity, photography or promotional activities.
Declining to participate in publicity will not affect a winner's entitlement to their prize. Where a winner consents to participate, the Promoter may use their name, image and testimonial for promotional purposes related to this Competition, in South Africa, for a period of 12 months from the draw date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
16. CHANGES OR CANCELLATION
Should the Competition be amended, suspended or cancelled, the Promoter will publish notice on all relevant advertising and social media platforms. Entries validly submitted before any suspension or cancellation will, where reasonably possible, still be entered into the draw.
17. APPLICABLE LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The courts of South Africa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this Competition.

19. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Any complaint should first be directed to hello@jockey.co.za. If unresolved within 7 business days, either party may refer the matter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO), without prejudice to any entrant's rights under the Consumer Protection Act to approach the National Consumer Commission or a competent court.

21. SEVERABILITY AND ENTIRE AGREEMENT
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Promoter and entrants in respect of the Competition and supersede any prior understanding or representation, whether written or oral, relating to it.
