CHRISTMAS WISH LIST COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Introduction and Acceptance of Terms:
These are the standard terms and conditions for the Christmas Wish List competition conducted by Jockey South Africa.
By entering the competition and/or accepting the prize, participants and prize winners accept and agree to abide by these terms and conditions on behalf of themselves and any additional persons involved.
Competition Period:
The Christmas Wish List competition will commence on the 1st of December 2023 and conclude on the 15th of December 2023.
The winner will be selected through a random draw and announced on the 18th of December 2023.
Eligibility:
Participants must be natural persons, not juristic entities. Entries must be completed in the participant's name with accurate and correct information. Entrants must be 18 years or older, or obtain parental or guardian permission to enter. Employees and family members of Jockey or participating retail stores are ineligible.
Competition Entry and Mechanics:
To enter, participants must:
- Add items to their wishlist between December 1st and December 15th.
- Keep the selected items in their basket.
- The prize winner will be drawn on December 18th.
Prize Details:
The winner of the Christmas Wish List competition will have the opportunity to win all the items in their wishlist to a maximum value of R5000.00 only. Prizes are not transferable, and no cash alternatives will be offered. Prizes must be redeemed within the borders of South Africa.
Winner Selection and Reward:
- The winner will be selected randomly on December 18th.
- The winner will be notified using the contact details provided during entry.
- If the winner cannot be contacted within 3 working days, a redraw will occur.
- The items on the wishlist will be the final prize allocated to the winner, if this exceeds R5000, only items to the value of R5000 will be given.
- Winners may be required to participate in marketing activities and media appearances.
Limitation of Liability:
Participants indemnify Jockey against any damages or losses arising from their participation.Acceptance and use of the prize are subject to all terms and conditions.
General Competition Terms:
These terms will be construed, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with South African laws. Jockey and competition sponsors are joint responsible parties (co-controllers) under POPIA. Participants acknowledge and agree to the Privacy Notice on the Jockey website.
Data and Privacy:
Participant information will be used for the competition and marketing purposes, respecting data subject rights as per the Privacy Notice. Any costs associated with using personal devices for entry are the participant's responsibility.
Miscellaneous:
Multiple entries will not be counted, and participants may not use multiple accounts. Jockey reserves the right to disqualify entries with incorrect information. Jockey reserves the right to vary, suspend, or cancel the competition without notice.
Dispute Resolution:
Disputes will be resolved in accordance with South African laws.
Notification and Communication:
All communication regarding the competition must be directed to the supplier of the prize. Jockey will not be responsible for any further correspondence, harm, damage, loss, or claims related to the prize.
